The Purity Plan
While serving as Bishop of a young single adult ward, I frequently shared this ‘Purity Plan’ with young members who needed reminders concerning pre-marital chastity and romantic appropriateness. Here is the ‘PLAN’:
- No ‘making out’
- No French kissing
- No body rubs or massages
- No reclining together
- No ‘togetherness’ on sofas or beds
- No ‘parking’
- No time together in bedrooms
- Great care in being alone together
- Only modest clothing to be worn
- No “sex talk”
- Maintain an early curfew
- Very limited body contact
