Challenges — facing overwhelming challenges

If we think our lives are hard, consider the following:
.  1)  “On Palm Sunday, 2014, my husband, Robert, bore his testimony during our sacrament meeting.  He spoke about the Church’s “Because of Him” Easter campaign.  This short video reminded us that the impossible is possible because of Him, because of Jesus Christ.  While he spoke, I sat in the back of the chapel with my sweet, squirmy two-year-old daughter, still feeling the spirit.  That night, as I was falling asleep, Robert woke me.  He insisted that we needed to watch the Church’s “Because of Him” Easter video.  He said I needed to see it.  So, we watched it together.  Before the sun rose that next morning, my husband went into cardiac arrest.  The week was filled with decisions, family members, and hospitals.  On Good Friday, the day of commemorating Christ’s Crucifixion, my husband passed away.  I was now a widow with four young children.  I had to ask myself if I really believed in the Savior’s sacrifice for me.”
.   2)  “After serving almost three years as mission leaders in Ghana, my wife, Ruth, and I were finally hitting our stride.  Then, unexpectedly, Ruth developed an excruciating pain in her lower back.  After being diagnosed with kidney stones too large to pass, she was flown to Johannesburg, South Africa.  Following a successful operation, she went into cardiac arrest and passed away in the operating room.  How could this happen?  We had given our all to the Lord!  Although I didn’t understand why this occurred, I realized that none of us is spared heartache, even when we are trying to follow the Savior’s example of going about doing good.”
