. 1. Revelation often comes concerning things not known beforehand. (1 Nephi 4:6, Doctrine and Covenants 121:45)
. 2. Revelation is often repetitive in nature. (2 Nephi 28:30, Moroni’s 4 visits to Joseph Smith in less than a day)
. 3. Revelation can be a concluding event rather than an explanation. (2 Nephi 28:30)
. 4. Revelation is always based on the Lord’s timing, not our timing. (Doctrine and Covenants 88:58-60)
. 5. We are expected to keep spiritual experiences confidential. (Matthew 8:4)
