Mormon Kingdom of God flag
- The color white represents the purity of the heart, the Savior’s Atonement, the spotlessness of the repentant spirit, a new and pure life, the cleanliness of thought and word and deed, the radiance of great faith, the devotion of Zion, the spirit of the Lord, the gift of the Holy Ghost, the celestial kingdom, the clarity of eternal truth, the morning of the first resurrection, constancy, valiance, fidelity, eternity, wisdom, happiness, joy, peace, and God’s love for His children.
- The color blue represents the full Gospel of Christ, God’s earthly kingdom, revelation from God, gospel principles and ordinances, baptism by immersion, royalty, the priesthood of God, adherence to God and His commandments, the firmament and the sky, an understanding of life and our place in it, remembrance of covenants, truthfulness, honesty, chastity, benevolence, virtue, humility, doing good always, a contrite and noble soul, enduring faith, and our relationship with and love of God.
- Moreover, the blue and white colors remind us of the covenants of baptism. Simply stated, blue has us recall the baptism of water and white is the baptism of the spirit.
- The central symbolism of the 12 stripes is described as follows: the number 12 represents perfection, the 12 tribes of Israel, the 12 ordained apostles of the Lord through the ages.
- The central symbolism of the 13 stars is the large central star representing the kingdom of God on the earth, the gathering of the 12 tribes of Israel in preparation for the Savior’s second coming, the preaching of the gospel throughout the world and His gospel taught on earth and in heaven, all humanity united together before the Lord as every knee bows and every tongue confesses that Jesus is the Christ, the temples on earth, the 12 stones in the foundation of the houses of the Lord, the ordained apostles and prophets of the Lord leading His work on earth with the proper keys and priesthood authority of God.
- The central ideal of the Church Flag is that the Savior Jesus Christ is the Lord and King of the kingdom of God in Heaven and on Earth.
