Personal Journal — September 2026

September 26, 2026 —  I frequently receive emails pertaining to my website.  I am always grateful for input as contained in this email that I received on the 26th of this month.  “Good morning, Bro Taylor!  It is amazing how the world can seem so small!  Fifteen years after your mission and half-way around the world, I served my mission in the Bolivia Cochabamba Mission in 1985-87.  I do not remember which area I was in when I found a marbled green folder with the “transcript” of “The Trial.”  I loved it and found it added a unique layer of study that I enjoyed.  Off and on over the decades, I have searched the Internet for a copy but only recently did I find your webpage.  The Trial  Thank you for your careful reconstruction and uploading!  I will be sharing it forward.  Your brother in Christ,  Greg Jones, Martinsburg, WV

September 26, 2026 — Steven and Emily hosted a very fun baby shower this evening.  The members of our family that attended were Dayna, Tawnie, Haylie, Linda, Susan, and myself.  The gifts given for the baby were remarkable, with many of them being hand-crafted.  Linda had crocheted a beautiful blanket for the little girl.  We are very happy for Emily and Steven, and the delivery of this little angel is just one month away now.

September 27, 2026 — We had an interesting testimony meeting on this beautiful Sabbath.  One particular brother bore his testimony for over 20 minutes, recounting stories from his life and from his interactions with various members of the ward.  He called me by name and recounted playing sports on the ‘Taylor Park’ field with the various children of the neighborhoods, including our sons.  His remarks bordered on the questionable as he recounted his interactions with the children of the neighborhood.  Aunt Margaret was ill again today and could not attend Church.  She is struggling with many aspects of her health, and we worry about her continuously.  This has been a very hard time for her as Sister Sue Hertz passed away last week.  Sue was an elderly widow, a close friend of Margaret, and lived just one house away from Margaret.  Margaret said many times to me, “That should have been me, not Sue!”  We are grateful we live so close to this sweet aunt and that we can help her in many ways.

September 28, 2026 — We are very excited for James and Cheyenne, as they have found a cute home for sale in LaVerkin that they made an offer on, and the offer was accepted.  It will have a nice fenced backyard for Hazer, they can have animals on the property, and there is ample room for a nice garden.  The home is quaint and will need some fixups, but it will be perfect for this little family.  LaVerkin is also much closer to the home of Cheyenne’s mother in New Harmony also.  That will be a blessing for her.  They have asked if I could help them with the down payment, which I am very willing to do.  They plan to pay me back over the coming months, but it will be a delight to help them and to see them settled in this great situation.  What a joy.
