DISJUNCTIVE PHRASING (D9, B820)
Disjunctive phrasing is seen when ‘and’ and ‘but’ could be interchanged, clarifying the meaning of the verse. Several examples are found in the Bible and in the Book of Mormon. It is very unlikely that Joseph Smith would have known of this Semitic influence in the scriptures. This is yet another evidence of the veracity of the Book of Mormon as translated scripture from ancient scriptural records, not the creation of a nineteenth-century uneducated young man.
