Epinephrine infusions
- Clark uses epinephrine infusions on many of the elderly, debilitated patients for spinal cases.
- He puts 100 micrograms of epinephrine in a 10 cc syringe and uses an infuser.
- He runs it at about 2 micrograms per minute. The pump must be put in the micrograms per minute mode during setup rather than micrograms per kilogram per minute.
- He slowly titrates the dose up as needed.
