EKG – hypertrophy
- Atrial hypertrophy
- P wave > 0.12
- Large diphasic P in V1
- In RAH the initial part of the P is enlarged
- In LAH the trailing part of the P is enlarged
- Right ventricular hypertrophy:
- R > S in V1
- R gets smaller from V1 to V6
- Wide QRS
- Left ventricular hypertrophy:
- S in V1 plus R in V5 > 35 mm
- R in V5 > 24 mm
- Left axis deviation
- Wide QRS
