Elder and Sister Gonzalez:

  • Elder Gonzalez and Sister Gonzalez have everlasting gratitude for the missionaries who taught them the gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • You have chosen to be part of something great – the gathering of Israel. There is nothing more important in the world than the gathering of Israel.
  • In the book of 3rd Nephi in the Book of Mormon, the Savior speaks much relating to the gathering of Israel.
  • The prophet Enoch, in Moses 7:62, speaks of righteousness being sent down from heaven, of truth being sent forth, of righteousness and truth sweeping the earth as a flood, all of this to bear testimony of the Only Begotten Son of the Father. The Book of Mormon has as its purpose the gathering of Israel.
  • In 3 Nephi 18, the Savior reminds the Nephites that He had not commanded any of them to go away, but instead to come and see and feel.  This is what we are to do to the world. If we don’t go out and declare the word, the people become subject to temptation.
  • In 3 Nephi 17, the Lord asks the Nephites to go to their homes and  prepare their minds for the morrow. The Lord taught them, he prayed for them, and he blessed them. This is a wonderful example of ministering.
  • Here are some examples of the attributes of Christ:
    • In 3 Nephi 9:14, He says: “My arm is extended toward you.”
    • In Alma 34:15, it states that His “mercy overpowers justice.”
  • What ideas come to your mind about how we can sweep the earth as a flood using the Book of Mormon?
    • Use of technology.
    • Talk about the gospel in everyday life.
    • The Book of Mormon addresses the questions of the soul. Invite people to read it.
    • Use it all the time.
    • Present the Book of Mormon as a gift.
    • Do things in a normal and natural way.
    • Flood your own life with the precepts, teaching and examples of the Book of Mormon.
  • Elder Gonzalez read from the Book of Mormon and then went looking for the missionaries.
  • Center your life in Jesus the Christ. Write His name in the fleshy tablets of your heart.
