STIMULATOR message for the week of September 21, 1971
Message from President Eugene C. Ludwig, dated September 21, 1971.

Dear Missionaries,
“If thou lovest me thou shalt serve me and keep all my commandments.” (Doctrine and Covenants 42:29)
The Lord loves you for your accomplishments. He loves you for your desire to be His Ambassadors in the mission field, to preach His Gospel to the wonderful people in New Zealand. He also loves you for your faith, your determination to be successful and your testimonies. Sister Ludwig and I, as you mission parents, love you and appreciate the effort you are putting forth in dedicating more fully your time to more effective missionary work.
Jesus was surely the divine teacher, the perfect example for us to follow, as His entire life was one of love and service to others. We should all try and emulate the qualities which Jesus had. He loved people, He forgave His enemies, He lightened the burden of the weary, and He was genuine and sincere, but He did not compromise with truth. As we supervise your activities we want you to be happy, to radiate enthusiasm, enjoy your work, and be successful as a proselyting missionary.
God controls our lives, guides and blesses us, but at the same time gives us our free agency. You can choose for yourself whether you want to serve the Lord, as a missionary, with all your heart, might, mind and strength. Now is the time to make the most of your opportunities — follow the mission handbook, set worthy goals and resolve to live in accordance with His teachings. “You, our youth of today, are among the most illustrious spirits to be born into mortality in any age of the world. Yours is a noble heritage and a wonderful opportunity. May you join in the rallying song of youth today, which is, ‘Holding aloft our colors, we march in the glorious dawn, O Youth of the noble birthright, CARRY ON’! and be guided to fulfill your highest destiny.” (President Harold B. Lee)
May you as the missionaries of the New Zealand South Mission CARRY ON and fulfill your highest destiny and reach heights never attained before. God bless you in your efforts.
