- I thank Brother Horvath for his remarks, and I concur with everything he has said
- Morally clean, morality, chastity = free from sexual sins, sexually pure, free from the misuse or abuse of the sacred sexual powers Heavenly Father has shared with us
- Lived with Heavenly Father before, loves us, knows us, has great hopes for us
- Plan presented — earth — mortality — chance to return to Him, be like Him
- 3 great privileges 1) Body and control it 2) Tried, tested, tempted, overcome 3) agency
- Power of creation, women become mothers, men fathers, procreation, SACRED
- These sexual powers are GOOD, wholesome, and lead to families = true happiness
- You have this power, when misused the plan of Heavenly Father is disrupted, abused, mistreated
- The way we use or misuse this power will determine happiness and joy or misery and sorrow
- As these powers & desires develop, they lead us to companion, marriage, love, holding fast
- Invite children to join your family, be part, form a home = haven, sanctuary, heaven
- STRONG, body changes, whisperings of desire, opposite becomes interesting, alluring
- STRONG so that we will have a desire to bound together and fulfill our purposes
- This Power is good! It is a gift! It is a partnership with God when properly used
- Understand why marriage is held in such high esteem in our church, and sexually purity
- Outside temple – baptism, priesthood, mission call; Inside temple to be married and sealed
- Lucifer no body, no creative power — insanely jealous Misuse it, transgress the law!
- Subtle – 2 Nephi, carefully lead, whisper, entice, slowly encourages
- Think loosely, jokes, make it vulgar, make it common place, its only an appetite so feed the appetite, no responsibility, pleasure is the only purpose, if it feels good then do it!
- Billboards, music, magazines, movies, pornography, wicked perversions
- Rules — don’t ever let anyone else touch your body, turn away from those who would entice you to, “everyone is doing it”, “no one will know”, “just once won’t make a difference”, “try it you’ll like it”, “if you really like me…”, “don’t be so old fashioned”, “we can always repent later”, “we’re teenagers, this is what teenagers do”, “standards and commandments were for older generations, we’re liberated, we’re free, we’re smarter”
- The ONLY PROPER USE OF SEXUAL POWERS AND PRIVILEGES IS WITHIN THE COVENANT OF MARRIAGE
- Misery and sorrow will follow the breaking of the law of chastity. Sin is never results in happiness.
- Crowns of glory await you as you live clean, pure, chaste, honorable.
- Vision to keep in mind: clean, pure, mission, temple marriage, children, life of activity
- Some day you will hold a precious little one in your arms. Be able to say, ‘I stayed clean for you’.
- Of all the titles of our Supreme Creator, He chooses to use Father
- Standards = dividing line, bar of excellence, eternal truth
- Standards don’t vary or change or alter or adapt or conform or flex or give way
- Standards are bold and clear and unchanging and true
- Armor! Always on, always alert, never compromising, knowledgeable,
- What are the Standard Works. How many? You actually have 5 = FTSOY
- FTSOY = don’t date until 16, then in groups, don’t pair off, read page 27
- Facebook – I believe in traditional marriage between man and a woman, and in being sexually clean before marriage. Outrage! Selfish, narrow-minded, archaic, hypocrite,
- Be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in faith, in spirit, in purity.
