Sister Kearon:
- We want to tell you how much we love you.
- I would like to discuss two concepts to discuss tonight, competition and comparison.
- Competition – You have been raised in a competitive environment. You have competed for almost every position or privilege. You are no longer competing, now that you are missionaries. You only compete against yourself. Be better today than you were yesterday or last week.
- You are acceptable to the Lord RIGHT NOW! You can, however, become more proficient, more dedicated, etc.
- Do you think there is any competition between the members of the Godhead? No. There is no pride, no envy, etc. Their only motivation is love, and that should be our only motivation. Love God, love the people, set goals to love more. Help your brothers and sisters – purify yourselves.
- Comparison – You can only feel two things when you compare, inferior or superior. This either brings discouragement or pride into your life.
- Rejoice in other person’s successes. Always ask how can I be better by what I am seeing in other’s lives. Serve a mission of love.
