Mission Conference – August 6, 2017
1/ President and Sister Clarke
- Sister Clarke’s mother said, “I love you more than I can possibly tell you, but your Heavenly Father loves you even more than that, because he has Perfect Love!”
- Evidences of Heavenly Father’s love for us include: 1) the Creation 2) Agency 3) Prophets 4) Jesus
2/ Sister Weidman
- Prophets often quote other prophets.
- Our church is not just “another church”, but the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Scriptures in which the doctrine of Christ is clustered:
- Moses 6:51-52
- Moses 7:10-11
- 2 Nephi 31
- Acts 2:36-42
- 3 Nephi 11
- 3 Nephi 27
- Doctrine and Covenants 33
- Doctrine and Covenants 49

3/ President Weidman
- This dispensation will not end in apostasy. This fact brings hope and urgency to our work.
- You are choice spirits held in reserve to come forth at this time.
- God is not an author of confusion.
- Gain a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon. In God’s infinite wisdom, He provided a volume of scripture for our day that is convincing evidence of the truth of the restoration.
4/ Sister Martino
- 2 Nephi 2:6-8 states: “Wherefore,redemption cometh in and through the Holy Messiah; for he is full of grace and truth. Behold, he offereth himself a sacrifice for sin, to answer the ends of the law, unto all those who have a broken heart and a contrite spirit; and unto none else can the ends of the law be answered. Wherefore, how great the importance to make these things known unto the inhabitants of the earth, that they may know that there is no flesh that can dwell in the presence of God, save it be through the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah, who layeth down his life according to the flesh, and taketh it again by the power of the Spirit, that he may bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, being the first that should rise.”
- Their 22 year old son died of leptospirosis, despite numerous priesthood blessing which said otherwise. One blessing even commanded their son to get up, arise, and walk. When he passed away, a voice came to Sister Martino saying, “Hold on to Me!” She replied, “I can do that!”
- Mary overcame her immense sorrow as she stood at the foot of the cross through the power of the very Atonement that Jesus was in the process of fulfilling!
5/ President Martino
- God is our loving Heavenly Father (Subjection unto the father of spirits)
- Pre-earth life (joint-heirs with Christ)
- Creation (male and female created He them)
- Agency and Fall (Adam fell that men might be)
- Earth (This life is the time for men to perform)
- Atonement (We talk of Christ, we rejoice…)
- Spirit world
- Resurrection
- Kingdom of Glory
