Life Changers!
- On page 114 of Preach My Gospel, mission presidents are encouraged to invite missionaries to share scriptures from the Book of Mormon that have “changed their lives”.
- Have you had a scripture change your life?
- How do you know if a scripture has changed your life? “F L A P” F_____________________________L________________________________

- Do you encounter a “life-changer” on a regular basis? You will IF :
- Pray for them
- Ponder (1 Nephi 11:1)
- Receive (Moroni 10:4
- Search (John 5:39)
- Treasure up (D&C 84:85)
- Feast upon (2 Nephi 31:20)
- Give diligent heed to (D&C 84:43)
- Slow down! Read word by word, phrase by phrase, stop to ponder and consider, ask yourself questions, listen for the whisperings of the Spirit!
- My “life-changer” scripture chain now contains over 30 scriptures. Many of them have dates listed by them, most have exclamation points, most have notes in the margins, most are prominently marked, many are memorized! Start your own chain — if the Lord realizes that you are seeking them, guess what will happen?
- Your “life-changers” will be very different from other persons. There is a reason for that!
- If President Rudd were to ask you for a ‘life-changer’, would you have one? Not just a scripture you like, but one that changed your life!
- Two examples — 1 Nephi 10:8, 1 Nephi 18:21.
- Scripture joke — The names of Nephi’s horses? Helaman 25-26 ______________________________________________________________
- Church history quiz — Of our 109 apostles in this dispensation, who has served the shortest and the longest in the Quorum of the Twelve? ______________________________________________________________
- Engravo — Helaman 3:33 and Helaman 14:31 ______________________________________________________________
