Tuesday devotional, Elder and Sister LeGrand Curtis of the Seventy

Sister Curtis:

  • Keep a journal for your posterity’s sake.

Sister Craig:

  • He served with President Martino in Italy as a young missionary.
  • The Book of Mormon is evidence and proof that this work is true.
  • The Book of Mormon is an ESSENTIAL part of conversion, a central focus.
  • Both you and your investigators must know of the truth of the Book of Mormon.
  • He told of a brother in South Dakota who was converted when a librarian recommended that he check out a copy of the Book of Mormon since a copy of the Koran was already checked out.  She thought he might have an interest in ‘strange religions’.
  • President Spencer W. Kimball said that the Book of Mormon is the greatest finder of future members of the church that we have.
  • President Ezra Taft Benson said that the Book of Mormon is the key to conversion.  Converts will be built upon the rock of Christ if they know the Book of Mormon is true.
  • How do I get a testimony of the Book of Mormon?  Elder Bruce R. McConkie suggested that you read the book every day, asking yourself this question: “Could any man have written this book?”
  • Elder Curtis recommended taking any great chapter of the Book of Mormon (i.e. Alma 5) and read that chapter with this question in mind — “Could any man have written this chapter?”
  • New Book of Mormon videos coming in September 2018!
