Timpanogos Cave hike — 1994
On June 20, 1994, I accomplished a fete that I want to remember. I carried Steven (36 pounds, 3 years old) and Mark (22 pounds, almost 2 years old) on my back up to and down from Timpanogos Cave. I had Mark in our backpack child carrier and Steven sitting on my shoulders. The day was warm, and having Steven’s plastic diaper against the back of my neck caused a river of sweat to flow down my back during the hike (three miles round trip). I hope in my elderly years these same two boys will return the favor and carry me up to the cave. :o)
