A day with my nephews — 1976

I shared a great and memorable experience with my nephews on Thanksgiving Day in 1976.  After a wonderful dinner, myself, Gary, Greg, and Ashley went out to Dad’s barn which was filled with hay bales, and I helped my little nephews make numerous caves, huts, trails, and hide outs, using the baled hay as our building material.  We frolicked together for 2 or 3 hours, laughing, playing games, and enjoying each other.  When we finally finished playing, we were dirty and sweaty, and we had hay dust everywhere in our clothes and hair.  None of us really minded, however, because of the wonderful time we had had together. I loved those little boys very much, and was constantly mindful of setting a good example for them in all aspects of my my life.
