Review of General Conference talks of President Dallin H. Oaks,
April 2025 through October 2029
- April 2026 — “Alive in Christ”
- The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a pillar of our faith.
- The universal Resurrection is equally certain.
- The conviction that death is not the conclusion of our identity changes the whole perspective of our lives.
- Our belief in the Resurrection also encourages us to fulfill our family responsibilities.
- Our Savior taught us how to relate to one another. The great commandments in the law were to love God and our neighbor.
- “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you…”
- There is no better way to manifest love for God than to show an unselfish love for one’s fellowmen.
- We need to see each other as children of God who belong to each other.
- The world would benefit greatly if men and women everywhere would exercise the pure love of Christ.
- We should seek to live peacefully and lovingly with other children of God who do not share our values and do not have the covenant obligations we have.
- Show love, even if others do not show love to you.
- Our missionaries seek to be peacemakers. They preach repentance from personal corruption and greed.
- Let us follow Christ by foregoing contention and by using the language and methods of peacemakers.
