Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Are Christians!
Thirteen definitive reasons that the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are Christians:
- We believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer.
- We are members of a church with Jesus Christ’s name in its title, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
- We believe in the same organization and authority that Jesus Christ established as recounted in the Bible.
- We believe in the same spiritual gifts that Christ established when He was upon the earth.
- We believe in the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments.
- We believe in the Book of Mormon, which is ‘another testament of Jesus Christ’.
- Every prayer that we offer is offered in the name of Jesus Christ.
- We believe in keeping the Sabbath Day holy, as Christ admonished.
- We do not take the name of the Lord Jesus Christ in vain.
- Every church ordinance that is performed in the church is done in the name of Jesus Christ.
- We believe in living the Ten Commandments as Christ taught.
- We believe in living a Christ-like and Christ-centered life — a ‘Christian’ life.
- We believe the first principle of the Gospel is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
