The first set of numbers is the scriptural reference in the book of Amos in the Old Testament, and the second set of numbers is the volume and page number in Answers To Gospel Questions where the indicated scripture is mentioned and discussed. For example, [3:7 . . . 3:11 ] would indicate that Amos 3:7 is discussed in volume 3, page 11.
