  • RemarksElder Holland served as the president of Brigham Young University and has held several other positions in the Church Educational System.  He and his wife, Patricia, had three children (2 sons and 1 daughter).  He passed away due to complications from kidney failure.  His funeral services were held in the Salt Lake Tabernacle on Temple Square on December 31, 2025, presided over by President Dallin H. Oaks.  The funeral services were conducted by Elder Quentin L. Cook, who served as one of Elder Holland’s missionary companions in England in the 1950’s.  Elder Holland was interred in his hometown of St. George, Utah, next to his wife, Patricia.
