Questions for new missionaries joining our branch at the Missionary Training Center
First interview questions for missionaries joining our branch:
- What leadership experiences have you had thus far in life? (Aaronic Priesthood, Young Women, school, work)
- What do you consider to be your ‘strengths’?
- How are your study habits? (ability to focus, memorization skills, etc.)
- Have you read the Book of Mormon in its entirety? Do you have a testimony of its truthfulness?
- How is your health in general? Do you take prescription medication? Have you sustained any life-altering Injuries?
- Do you have musical abilities or talents? Do you play the piano?
- Did you attain the rank of Eagle Scout?
- Did you earn your Young Women Recognition award?
- What do you do for fun and entertainment? What are your hobbies?
- What work experience have you had, if any?
- What expectations do you have for your mission?
- Do you have a boy friend or girl friend at home?
- What are your feelings about the importance of your missionary service? (Doctrine and Covenants 4:3-4)
- Do you feel you will have difficulty with homesickness, or do you feel homesick now?
- How are you adjusting to the pressures of the Missionary Training Center?
- How are you getting along with your companion?
- What are your goals for your mission?
- Do you feel worthy to serve? Do you feel clean before the Lord? (If no, refer to branch president)
- Do you feel depressed or anxious? (If yes, refer to counseling services)
