EKG — conduction blocks
EKG conduction blocks:
- Mobitz 1 — Wenckebach, lengthening PR, then drop a beat
- Mobitz 2 — drop a QRS without PR lengthening, serious nodal problem
- Sinoatrial block — complete cycle missed
- AV block, 1st degree — PR greater than 0.2
- AV block, 2nd degree — 2:1, 3:1, 4:1 or Wenckebach
- AV block, 3rd degree — independent P’s (rate about 100) and QRS’s (rate 40)
- RBBB — QRS greater than 0.12, RR’ in V1-V2, wide S in V5-V6
- LBBB — QRS greater than 0.12, RR’ in V5-V6, wide S in V1-V2, infarct hard to read
- RBBB and LBBB exhibit non-simultaneous depolarization of ventricles
- Anterior hemiblock: Q1 S3 R1
- Posterior hemiblock: S1 Q3 R1
- WPW — short PR, wide QRS with delta wave, prone to paroxysmal tachycardia
