EKG — rates
Rates:
• 300, 150, 100, 75, 60, 50
• 1500 divided by the number of small boxes = heart rate
• Small box = 0.04 second
• Large box = 0.2 second
• Ectopic pacemaker rates are
— Atrial is 75
— AV node is 60 (sick AV node, high vagal tone, AV block)
— Ventricular rate is 30 to 40 (sinoatrial or atrioventricular node failure)
• R on T = danger
• Internodal tracts – Bachmann, Wenckebach, Thorel
